our dogs

The following Labs are currently under the care of Lowcountry Lab Rescue and want to find a forever home. Our adoption fee is $275 (which covers the costs of initial vet care, food and supplies while in foster care). Foster dogs are shown by appointment to approved applicants only (see Adopt section for details and application).  All dogs listed here may not be available due to pending adoption.

CARRIE (~2 year old yellow female)

CARRIE (~2 year old yellow female)
CARRIE HAS BEEN WITH US FOR OVER A YEAR (Since March 2009)! PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTING HER! She is house, cat and kid friendly. Does best with another dog to hang with. Does not like crates. Loves belly rubs, long walks and the occasional swim in the lake. Her energy level is about 5/10. She was obviously not exposed to people/places in her prior life, as a result does have some anxiety over new situations but warms up quickly. She does have food allergies and needs to be on a special diet, but it is not too expensive.

Luke
2 year old chocolate male. He crates pretty well. Doesn't always want to go in, but settles down pretty quickly. He's doing well with other dogs. He just longs for attention and affection and has a sweet dispositi...on. He walks fairly well on lead. He enjoys retrieving balls in the yard. Heartworm negative.

Luke

Anderson

JUMPER (2YR OLD BLACK MALE)
"Don't be fooled by his name. He likes to jump straight up and down in the air like a jack in the box when he sees you and is excited. It is kind of cute" says his foster mom. He is a smart and energetic dog who loves to please. He is house trained, leash trained, and is currently attending obedience classes with Purely Positive Dog Training (BONUS!!!!!) He is doing great in his foster home, plays well with the other dogs, left loose during the day and does well. Cute smaller boy. He is completely vetted, heartworm negative, and micro-chipped. He is ready to go. All he needs is a new home to go to!!!!

JUMPER (2YR OLD BLACK MALE)

TANK2 (10 YR OLD YELLOW MALE)

TANK2 (10 YR OLD YELLOW MALE)
He is house trained, knows basic commands, crate trained(although I don't need to crate him when left alone, arthritis in hips). Great with cats and other dogs, very relaxed around them. He is OK on leash, training on that still. According to his foster mom "He is a big ham! Under my feet at all times, but too adorable to bother me!"

Maxx, a recent addition to LLR, is a 5 y/o male, up to date on vaccines, neutured and heartworm negative. Came in with sister Sugar. Owner died :( Very sweet, quiet. Well behaved in the house, new to some social situations. Should be placed with another dog.

Marsha

Marsha
Lab mix. Smaller, black female. She and her pups were dumped at an midlands shelter. The pups were adopted but she was too underweight to be put up for adoption. She is very sweet and slowly gainied weight, having come to us at about 35-40 lbs. From her foster mom June 14..."She's been with us for about 3 weeks and she needs to gain about 12 more pounds before she's healthy enough to be spayed. She's becoming more playful now that her energy is coming back and she's a very, very sweet little girl!"
