As an
all volunteer organization, Lowcountry Lab
Rescue depends on people
who love
Labrador Retrievers to continue to save
Labrador Retrievers from dying in animal
shelters throughout South Carolina.
If
you love Labs and want to help, there are many
volunteer opportunites available to fit your
schedule and level of interest. A brief
description of some are below. Please contact us
at info@lowcountrylabrescue.org,
for more information or questions.
Foster: Every
dog that we pull from a shelter has to have a
foster home to live in before adoption. Without
foster homes, we cannot rescue Labs from
life-threatening shelter situations. Fostering
does not cost anything to the foster parent(s)
except love and time. LLR provides all food,
crate, medical care, medicine, bowls, toys, etc.
Transport: Some
of the dogs that we need to assist are in
shelters throughout South Carolina. Volunteers
are needed to pick up labs from shelters and
bring them back to Charleston. Transportation to
vet appointments is needed. Do you drive to
Columbia on a regular basis with your job? Are
you going to visit relatives in Charlotte this
weekend? Any travel up and down I95, I26 or I77
can turn into a rescue transport.
Help needed with PR/Marketing: LLR currently seeking volunteers to
help with media contacts, marketing tools/ideas,
sponsorships. If you have experience in the
field, and would love to help Labs, please
email!
Event Planning: Are you
an at-home Martha Stewart? Do you love to plan
parties and events for friends and family? Would
you like to put your experience and passion to a
good cause? LLR would love to hear from you!
Business Partners: Do
you own your own business, and want to support
Lab Rescue, but can't adopt/foster? Would the
company you work for be interested in supporting
LLR? LLR is currently developing Sponsorship
Levels, and we would love to hear from you! |
